Full Description
This course contains over 70 hours of interactive, video based, instruction, delivered on CD. This course is designed to meet all the requirements for Microsoft Corporation`s Certified Systems Engineer certification and testing for Windows 2003 operating and newtork environments. This course comes with Lab Simulations and Practice Exams and covers the Microsoft Exam numbers 70-270, 70-284, 70-290, 70-291, 70-293, 70-294, and 70-298. Note: Actual exams are taken separately at Microsoft Authorized Testing Centers. This course work is preparatory to examination.


Outcomes:
The expected out come for students taking these courses is:

To gain an understanding of the Microsoft 2003 network server environment.

To be able to desing, configure and manage a Microsoft 2003 server network using Active Directory, Windows XP, Exchange Server and Security Services.

To gain knowledge, understanding, and practicle experience sufficient to pass the Microsoft certification exams for the student to qualify as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.


Assessment:
Each course contains pre and post course quizzes. This course also contains labratory simulations and practice tests. The practice tests questions are a sampling of the official exam question pool. Students have opportunity to review quizzes and exams to understand strengths and weaknesses and where necessary are able to go back and review areas of study to improve their outcome. Students are able to use practice exams to determine their readiness to take the official exams from Microsoft.

Course Instructors:

Kevin Wolford started his computer career in 1983. He has been a technical writer, network administrator, and trainer. Kevin spent many years with Novell and is a CNI and Master CNE. In 1998 Kevin founded Tech Training, giving him a chance to test his training ideas on live labs. He is also an MCSE, MCT, and is certified in SMS, SQL Server, TCP/IP, NT Workstation, NT Server, Exchange Server, Windows 9x and 2000. Kevin has authored Microsoft certification books for New Riders and Sybex. He also owns a consulting company dedicated to teaching complex technical topics in a simple way.

Joe Tucker is an MCSE, MCT (Microsoft Certified Trainer), CTT (Certified Technical Trainer) and CCNA. Joe has taught classes ranging from MCSE classes to MCDBA, and is qualified to teach 11 different courses. Joe is a senior technical Consultant/Trainer with over 8 years in the IT certification training field. Currently Joe is responsible for delivering technical, MCSE 2000/2003 certification, customized computer training and consulting solutions to corporate clients throughout the United States and International venues.
