Cisco CCNA IPX Routing


Full Description
This unit introduces IPX/SPX protocol suite, explains the protocols that constitute this suite, and maps the Novell IPX protocol suite to the OSI reference model. This unit also describes the communication process between two servers on an IPX network and the role of a Cisco router in server-to-server communication across networks. In addition, this unit describes the addressing scheme in IPX. Finally, the unit explains the various types of encapsulation for Novell IPX packets, and lists their equivalent Cisco IOS terms.


Outcomes:
Upon completion student should know, understand, and be able to discuss the IPX/SPX protocol suite, explain the protocols that constitute this suite, and maps the Novell IPX protocol suite to the OSI reference model.


Assessment:
Students are presented with pre-course test to determine their knowledge before taking the course. During the course students will be presented with a series of quizzes to determine gained knowledge and retention of each section. At the end of the course students will be given a post course test to measure their overall understanding of the subject and retention of knowledge. By comparing their pre and post course test scores, students will be able to measure their knowledge gain.
