We have produced a series of instructional medical terminology videos to help students learn more effectively so they will find employment faster and be sure of success in their careers. The best way to learn and remember medical terms is to see how they are built and hear how they are pronounced at the same time.

The Starter Sixpack includes the first six videos in our series. A workbook is included that provides written terminology practice in conjunction with the videos.

Medical Terminology Video: Introduction Part 1
The best way to learn medical terms is to see them and hear them at the same time. Our Medical Terminology Video Introductory video starts you off with word basics -- roots, prefixes, suffixes and combining forms -- and shows you how to build up to complex terms, such as salpingo-oophorectomy. When you know your way around the language of medicine, new words become much simpler to spell and pronounce than you might have thought.

Part 2 focuses on the structure and organization of the body. You will learn about the five body cavities, terms used to determine a direction and specific areas of the body, anatomical planes, and body regions, such as the abdoman and spine. You will learn new combining forms and suffixes pertaining to the structure and organization of the body so you can build words and associated conditions, and understand related terminology. Seeing the words and hearing them pronounced accelerates the MT learning curve.

In this 30 minute video, you will explore the anatomy of the digestive system, find out how the entire process takes place, learn about digestive system diseases, diagnostic tests used, surgical procedures to remedy problems, and much more. From Anastomosis through hepatocholangiogram to Vagotomy, you will build your digestive system vocabulary the easy way.
Medical Terminology Video: Urinary System
This 30 minute instructional video covers the terminology associated with the anatomy and function of the urinary system – the kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra – and how they work together to remove urea from our bodies. It also presents combining forms, medical and anatomical conditions common to this system, laboratory tests, disorders, and surgical procedures to remedy problems. Viewers become familiar with both the sight and sound of terms so it’s easy to remember their pronunciation and spelling. Workbook included that provides written terminology practice in conjunction with the video.

This 30-minute instructional video teaches the terminology for the entire male reproductive system, and explains how it functions, from its anatomy to sperm production and fertilization of the female ovum.
