Full Description
This 16 Hour Online Stormwater course educates and qualifies you, the municipal inspector or jobsite stormwater manager, to properly implement, inspect, and maintain a construction site for Stormwater Compliance.The course covers the principals and practices of erosion and sediment control as well as the inspection and reporting requirements of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permitting program. QCIS has been reviewed and recognized by the EPA and is a Level 300 United States Green Build Council approved course.


Outcomes:

The QCIS class will provide you with a fundamental knowledge of all aspects of erosion and sediment control so you can:

  • Inspect a construction site for stormwater compliance.
  • Properly install and maintain best management practices on a construction site.
  • Complete all documentation requirements such as inspection reports and spill records.
  • Confidently review Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and determine their potential effectiveness based on live site conditions.
  • Understand the teamwork and communication necessary between owner, operators, contractors and SWPPP designer so the site stays in compliance throughout the construction project. 


Assessment:
Learners are required to complete a 25 question exam after each of the five (5) course sections. Learners must pass the exams with a 75% or greater over a 90 minute timeframe. Learners have an unlimited amount of attempts to pass exams. After a failed attempt, new randomized exams are generated from a pool of questions from that course section.
