Course Description |

This course provides an in depth look at the Six Sigma management and leadership principles originally developed by Motorola and perfected by corporations like General Motors and General Electric.
Find out how Six Sigma is applied in service and product based companies to improve profits and customer satisfaction simultaneously. We will also provide an in depth analysis of Six Sigma strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats as we size it up among other popular management and leadership theories and methods.
Readings will be posted on the LearningManagement system and as such there are no textbooks needed for this course. |

Outcome |
Upon completion, you will have the information necessary to evaluate and implement the Six Sigma method of management and leadership. Participants will learn the language and DMAIC methodology of Six Sigma and what results are expected from implementation. Participants will also be able to objectively evaluate Six Sigma as compared to other popular management and leadership theories and methods. |

Assessment |
In this self-directed course, evaluation of student performance will consist of successfully completing the Action Assignments in each Module of learning. At the conclusion of this course you will be required to send a self-generated report that is specific to new knowledge gained and its application in business and industry. You will also address your assignments and work completed. This information will be evaluated and a final grade given. |
